Content Distribution Services
Content Marketing Distribution is a way of distributing your website/blog’s content efficiently to external websites like Facebook/Twitter (social media), other websites (content sharing), & news aggregators (RSS feeds). It’s important to take advantage of content distribution as a way of content-marketing due to the high-number of readers on social media & news aggregators. As of 2011, more people get their news from online sources than from TV, radio, or traditional newspapers.
Distribution Through RSS
RSS is one of the most versatile & useful ways of content distribution. It can be used as a means of getting streaming news about what your market is doing as well as update others in real-time about your businesses latest news. Having an RSS feed as a means of content distribution is highly beneficial because you can let others know about your latest products and services. At Forward Marketing, we will help you set up a proper RSS feed. For more info, see our Social Media Marketing section.
Micro-Blogging with Twitter
Twitter, in less than 140 characters, lets you write (or “tweet”) about your products, services, & company. Every major company & public figure has a Twitter account to promote themselves & have hundreds or thousands of followers. Also, with Twitter, you can see what people are saying about your products or services by doing a Twitter search. We’ll help you with setting up Twitter. For more info, see our Social Media Marketing section.
Community Interaction with Facebook
Facebook is the premiere social media platform containing user-made content. Facebook only has 750 million users as of July 2011. It’s one of the most used & popular social media outlets. On Facebook, you can make a page where people can “like” your company, products, services, etc. It can consistently be updated much like what you see on Twitter, but to a larger audience. Also, on Facebook, things have a tendency to go viral, which can mean success for your business. For example: in 2010 there was a petition floating around Facebook for actress Betty White to host Saturday Night Live. The person would sign the petition and then it would be sent to the users friends, who would also sign the petition and vice versa. The petition was meant for NBC Universal and was sent to the corporation and in May 2010, Betty White hosted the show. It was done exclusively via Facebook. Now imagine if that was your business. Someone gets word about your business and services and word was spread about your business in that way. You would have a successful business. At Forward Marketing, we will help you utilize Facebook and all its aspects. For more information, visit our Social Media Marketing section.
Video Sharing & Distribution with YouTube
YouTube is the premiere online video sharing of short-form videos. You can view virtually anything from corporate videos, music videos, family home movies, commercials, television shows, and more. YouTube is the 2nd most used search engine next to Google, which acquired the company in October 2006. With YouTube, you can use your account to upload videos about your products and services. For example, you could include product spotlights, interviews with customers and clients, and more. At Forward Marketing, we’ll set you up with a YouTube account and film what you want us to. For more information, see our Video Production & Internet Distribution services page.
Photo Sharing & Distribution with Flickr
Flickr is useful because it can show professional pictures of your products, daily services, and more. You can have 2 account types: free and pro. A free account lets you upload 3mb of images monthly and 2 videos. You can have up to 10 photo pools. A pro account you must pay for but it includes an unlimited number of monthly uploads, 60 photo pools, account stats and ad-free browsing. At Forward Marketing, we will help you in the setup and usage of Flickr. For more info, see our Commercial Photography & Internet Distribution services page.
